Hi! I'm Kate, a graphic designer and founder of Koeppel Design. If you're looking for vinyl organizing products, visit the shop at KoeppelDesign.com. If you're here for studio design work, welcome!
Koeppel Design is a humble and organized graphic design studio and physical product design workshop in San Francisco, CA.
I am accepting a limited number of graphic design projects for May - July 2019. My current focus is projects with logo design, branding, vector illustration or packaging design. If you're interested in working together or have an idea for collaboration, let's chat! Please fill out the design inquiry form to start the conversation.
My design clients range from health and wellness practitioners, tech start ups, record labels, entrepreneurs and lady-run creative businesses. On the product side of the studio, we design and manufacture a line of handcrafted products for the home, designed for audiophiles and analog music enthusiasts. The collection is available online and in select retailers in the US and Europe.
A selection of Koeppel Design products have appeared on the shelves of Urban Outfitters, in the vinyl library at KEXP in Seattle, WA, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Library and Archive in Cleveland, OH, Sightglass Coffee locations in San Francisco, CA, and in private collections worldwide.
Koeppel Design has been featured in Wired, Glamour Magazine, San Francisco Magazine, New York Magazine, Dwell, Pitchfork, Details, Design Milk and BuzzFeed.
I received a MFA in Design from California College of the Arts in 2011. As a result of my thesis work at CCA, I founded Skill Exchange, a traveling workshop series which aims to inspire communities to use their hands to teach, share and learn traditional hand making and self-reliance skills in a fun, social setting.
I have been a guest lecturer at New Mexico Highlands University, Academy of Art University and a guest critic at California College of the Arts, and as mentor in CCA's Alumni Mentorship program for undergraduate students.
I collect vinyl records (among many other things) and I also love a well-organized and carefully cataloged collection. I grew up outside of Seattle and graduated from the University of Washington with a BA in Comparative History of Ideas with an emphasis in Italian studies. I live in San Francisco, with my husband and our herd of cats.
